Over the past month we’ve been deep-diving into lots of different printmaking techniques with artist Simon Ripley. 

Simon’s been great at introducing techniques that might normally require specialist equipment or access to a print studio, but in a really fun and accessible way so that we can all experiment with and have a go at home. Over the past few sessions we’ve been mainly looking at Collagraphs (making a relief print from collaged materials giving various textures and effects) and basic Intaglio techniques (where the print is incised onto a backing board or plate). 

The variety and scope of printmaking is so vast, some of our participants have also been asking some really interesting questions, and sharing lots of examples of their experiments so far!
