After our short break we plunged back into summery goodness, making the most of this glorious weather we’re having and the ultimate British summertime treat – Strawberries and Cream! These beautiful and bountiful fruits provided such great inspiration as artist Sara Dudman walked us through new techniques to make the most of colour, texture and tone, using Oil Pastels and Watercolour – both separately and combined, as well as thinking about composition and ways we can be brave with this. 

Whether you’ve got some hiding in your garden like one of our green fingered participants, or if you’re simply tucking into a punnet you’ve picked up at the shops, why not look take a closer look at the interesting shapes and textures in these beautiful berries… (before smothering in cream and enjoying as you soak up the rays)!
