After six brilliant sessions over the past three months, it’s sadly time to bid farewell to brilliant returning Online Art Group facilitating artist, Gary Mills.
The past six weeks have been a beautiful introduction not only into new, practical textile techniques, but also to the relaxing and meditative benefits of stitch and sewing. Working with our hands, slowly, methodically and creatively has proven to be such an effective way to focus and destress – whether we’re actively making, or simply sat back watching with a cup of tea.

For his final sessions, Gary pulled together many of the techniques and applications he has introduced to us over the past few months, to build a textural, landscape-based beach scene. From masking and fabric painting, to appliqué and working with machine and hand stitch, Gary walked us through so many different ways to experiment with these techniques to achieve our desired outcomes – or how to celebrate unexpected ones!
Thank you so much Gary, you really feel like part of the Online Art Group family now!

The changing of the seasons is also bringing change to the Online Art Group, we are excited to soon introduce you to our next artist who will be taking the helm and joyfully guiding us through winter.
